I've been loading images into my new website when I came across this one from a couple of years ago: A flock of Dusky Woodswallows on a cool autumn morning.
Canon 400D, EF400mm f/5.6, tripod, ISO400, f/9, 1/640, quite a large crop.

Cheaper by the what...?
A very unusual image Simon!
I guess is very hard to have them all seen at your lens at the same time! Great image and very funny seen so many birds sharing the same perch.
That's really a terrific image Simon, the curve of the perch and that many birds, what a spectacle, congrats.
An excellent capture the birds seem very happy all sitting together. It is not very often you get a chance like this and you have made very good use of your opportunity! I love it!
13 of 16 good head angles is not bad. EXP is spot on. You might try a Gaussian blur of about 40 on the branches. A single branch for a perch would have been ideal as that second branch is a bummer.
All sitting cozy together. I like your comp with the perch curved through the image. Very well spotted and captured Simon.
Great for the crop! I long to see this spectacle myself. Even though I have lots of these guys living nearby, I am yet to witness it. Cute factor and well done indeed!
Cheers
