Lovely bird, nicely exposed,head angle,background.
I might crop up a bit from the bottom, but truly just a personal preference issue. I would like to see the bird slightly bigger in the frame, he is so pretty.

I like the colors and the feel of this image. To me, the grebe might be a little bit over-sharpened in the head area. I also think the image needs a tiny bit of rotation adjustment. I would crop the bottom a bit, too.
This is superb, Jody. The BG with mist rising off the water with the dark above is lovely. I like the soft light and feather details. I can see Randy's point re cropping from below but like it as presented.
It feels like you were in the water when you captured this. Superb angle, and I like the detail and sharpness in this. Your comp works as is, but Randy's suggestion would work too.
Stunning image Jody...I like the illustration-like quality of the bird, the misty BG and smooth foreground. I think it needs just a touch of CCW rotation, and I too would be interested to see what it would look like with the bird just a bit lower in the frame. Beautiful.

Thats fantastic! The low perspective, nice light and steam (?) in the BG all make this a winner!
I like the low perspective, detail and setting. I too, would be tempted to crop a bit from the bottom.
