I was nice for a while, so I decided to post something very unusual from my Florida trip to make up for it!... This image is right out of the camera, with minimal photoshop adjustments. I wasn't sure if I'd explain it all right away, or see if people wanted to guess... But I'll just say it...
I was photographing a pair of Oystercatchers at Fort De Soto, and all afternoon I had been keeping an eye on this wonderful rainbow beach umbrella set up nearby. As the Oystercatcher lined up perfectly with the coloured water, it was staying on the muddy edge! So I did a bit of quick thinking and decided to rotate the image and photograph the birds reflection, with the rainbow umbrella colours surrounding it. I was pretty happy with how it turned out!
Let me know what you think.. I appriciate all comments, even if you hate it!
Happy shooting!

Very creative on-the-fly thinking and very well captured !
I really like the colors, especially combined with the black, white, and orange of the Oystercatcher.
Also, the head is probably in the best possible position against the background colors.
But I just can't get past feeling like it's too tight at the bottom. Even though it's
a reflection, I find myself still wishing for more room for those virtual feet.
But I'm also afraid that adding more mud may also be a detriment.

I love it, it is very inuque and origianl, ver creative and the result is stunnnig IMO, I agree about the room at the bottom, but more room there would've given you much more mud, so I like it as presented! Congratulations! :)

I really like this very creative image. The colors in the water add so much interest to an already beautiful bird. Very nice thinking here, Brandon!
