Our First Eagle

This image is from our first trip to Florida looking for birds. We were fortunate to be able to watch this bird swoop in and grab a fish that had been left in the field by a fisherman. We had never seen an wild eagle so close and it was pretty exciting for us. Birds are a new area for us and we would appreciate any feedback you may be able to give.

The image was taken at 400mm, 1/400 second, f5.6, ISO400. We would appreciate your thoughts on improvements. Thanks Jo and Phil<O:p</O:p

Nice action with good sharpness. The motion blur adds to the action depicted. The intent expression is cool, but the wings could be in a better position. Nice capture.

Agreed with Ed's assessment. I would also like a slightly better head angle, but that is not always possible.
