We've been lucky enough to have this little guy hanging out in our local park in Seattle for the last 2 weeks, a bit of a rarity in the city. A lot of luck (no rain, 30 min of sun, and a willing pose) gave me the chance to try out my new rig

No alteration of colour or background, cloned out a twig from the perch - minor noise adjustment with Noise Ninja and sharpening. Looking back, I had plenty of room to move the f-stop higher and get better dof, but at the time I was just glad he perched in the open for 10 seconds! Comments appreciated

You did well. I like those blues! What a beauty! :) I think maybe a tad tight on the RHS and above. Wonder if anyone else feels the same?

I agree its tight up above and on the right hand side.... easy fix.

The bird looks great against the neutral BG. I agree that it's too tight. You had enough light that I would have dropped the ISO and stopped down.

Agree it's a it tight too, would be nice to see at larger size.

Thanks for the feedback, great suggestions - I had plenty of canvas to play with so recropped, do you think this is enough space? Again, many thanks
