Dave, This is an interesting door with a nice composition. I like the conversion.
Nice detail. Two things: first, I'd look at trying some distortion correction in PS. See the slant of the two lines beneath the link closure? See how they don't quite line up? I think that being more even would really add some more to the comp. Also, I think the animals could use some selective sharpening or even some burning/dodging to help them really stand out.
I think it's a great conversion - but I think you have a little wiggle room to make it even stronger.
I'm with Julie on the distortion. A tilt shift or slightly higher angle would have eliminated the slight distortion.
I like the toning and the texture of the doors. The contrast is a tad flat. Maybe a slight boost. Another idea is to use the zone editor in SilverFx and play around with the different tones and boost or cut a bit to add more tonal range.
OK...Looks like I'll revist this one. Thanks for the insight....
