This guy has been busy digging through the muddy grassy area's for food as you can see by his dirty beak. I will say I was kinda lucky to get this guy late in the day. An assist oddly enough goes to a Coopers Hawk that had been harrassing/hitting my backyard feeders... but thats a long story. :)

That dark patch is going to be a bear to remove but agree its in the way Would have tried to move left/right at the time of exposure if possible !!! Fine image Mike !!!

I agree with above, and would also have liked a tiny bit better head angle (it's not bad as is...but could be better). I like the semi-fanned tail exposing the yellow colour. Well done!
