One from the first day out with Alan Murphy in Texas. One of thre redist cardinals I have ever seen. A common bird for me and many others as well , but what a great setting. Will post some of the more exotics soon.

That really is one red bird. Great details and setting, although I would sharpen less. The light looks a bit harsh and I would run NR on the BG. Have fun 'down there'. :)

I'm sure you'll have a great time in Texas! You controlled the reds well. The bird does look slightly oversharpened and the light is a little harsh. Can't wait to see more of your stuff from the trip.

Very nice perch and pose with the crest up. The light does appear harsh.

I like the alert pose and full crest up. I agree the light looks harsh. Is it me, or have the flowers wilted?

Nicely done, not over-saturated because you can see the details in the plumage. Enjoy your Texas experience and will be looking forward to more!

Joe,
Nice pose, background and perch.
It looks overs sharpened.
Would be nice to know what you were shooting with.
