Took this shot on Sunday, relatively early morning.
There was a beautiful sunrise, then the sun disappeared until late afternoon.
We found this bird sitting on the top of a utility pole.
Waited in the car for about an hour. Missed the flight.
But the Owl was very nice to us and landed in a grassy spot.
I went down on my belly for this shot.

Great angle, light and eye contact. I would probably remove the branches in the upper left.

Belated welcome to BPN.
Almost a studio setting, very well done, I like the environment and the squinting, like it's studying you :)
Great eXP control and composition.

Fantastic image! Your patience and belly angle instinct were spot on. And I'm not sure the photo would be improved by removing the branches in the upper left corner, but perhaps?
