I did this picture last weekend while trying to capture the colors in the low evening light. I did not do a heavy noise reduction. Is the noise in the background distracting?

Rene:
Nice job on catching the green iridiscense of the head. Hard to get an even reflection of light. Sharp, with good exposure.
The background noise is a bit distracting to me. I would add just a smidge below for more room for the feet.
Thanks!
Randy

The noise could and should be easily cleaned up. Same for some of the stray OOF grasses. Did you use the Shadows/Highlights tool? I see a halo around the back of the head and under the chin that is consistent with this tool when use too aggressively (P.S. it is more evident on my CRT monitor than on my wife's laptop). I like the overall pose, but I think the eye could use a bit of work to make it look sharper (such as taming the catchlight's part that is touching the pupil and darkening the pupil, and lightening the iris).

Nice one Rene, I like the detail and colour.
I would wish for a little more on the bottom (or a bit taken off the top).
I know what Daniel is saying about the slight halo effect most apparent on the back-side of the head.
I have this problem sometimes when processing my work and over-use of Shadows/Highlight is usually the culprit.
