I started out with a crummy image of an Elk that I shot in Yellowstone NP-let me qualify this image by saying-I really just started up photography when I shot this-So I will post the original to give you an idea of what I did. The end result was made by using almost every tool in PS (lol) I did a poster affect,orton action, illustrated effect, color efex filter etc.....
I was going to add rain but I thought it was too much.

If this were mind, I think I'd clone the stump out just because of its proximity to the elk's backside. I also think you could tone down the poster effect on the animal and leave it on all the environment and have a totally different other image. Nice going, Denise!
