Since I've been posting so many close up shots of the sides of our barn, I thought you might like to see to see what the entire barn looks like.
This barn and our house were built back in the time of the Revolutionary War. There used to be a second larger barn in the field where I was standing to take this shot. Also, a covered walkway connected the barn to the house. When the 1938 Hurricane came through, it brought down the second barn and the walkway as well as took off the roof of the house. So this barn has seen a lot. Imagine the stories it could tell!
Any C&C are welcome!
Olympus SP-550 UZ
f5.6 @ 1/320, ISO 100, -0.3 EV
Program mode, pattern metering, auto WB
Processed in PS CS2; curves adjustment, S/H, exposure adjustment, channel mixer, color tone added with color fill layers and a hue/saturation layer, and added vignette
Here is a shot of the east side of the barn which is the one I've been shooting for the most part. You can see the stepladder I used to take the last shot I had posted, "Old and Worn." I apologize that the photo isn't the best, but it should give you an idea of the shooting environment for my barn shots.

You could photograph there for the rest of your life and still have lots to do !!! A beauty !!!
I like the framing, might just increase local contrast in the framing trees !!

That top photo is really well done, Christopher. I agree that the trees could use a little more contrast so they stand out a bit more but gosh...it's a lovely "old time" image!
Another suggestion would be to clone out the stuff you see through the windows - for some reason I think that breaks the "old time" theme you have going.

Christopher, I love the first shot here. The sepia tone and vignette treatment really give it an antique look. Nicely done!
Thanks for the comments! I love creating "old time" photos like this. I've increased the contrast of the trees and cloned out the stuff in the windows as was suggested.
