Had a chance this morning to take some more pictures of the side of our barn. This was taken shooting upwards as Denise had suggested. I found it a very interesting angle to shoot from, though a bit hard on my neck :D. Any C&C are welcome!

Processed in PS CS2; rotated by about 1 degree to straighten, cropped, curves adjustment, converted to sepia using channel mixer and hue/saturation layer, slight vignette added to burn edges, and sharpened

Christopher, I like the angle and your thinking here. This has been a great experiment ,and alot of fun to watch! I feel like this needs a bit more sharpness, maybe set up your tripod really low and set your aperature at 16 this may help your neck :) and get it a bit sharper-or go the other way and set your aperature at 5.6 and focus on one small interesting area like the nails with the tar paper behind it.Remember the ROT when composing your image.Good luck and have fun with it!:D

Thanks Denise for your suggestions. Unfortunately I don't have a tripod and 8 is the highest aperture I can get on my camera. I do think I could have gotten more sharpness if I had set the point of focus a little higher, I'll have to try it next time. I'll also try your suggestion of going with a shorter DOF as well. Thanks again!
