Processed normally, did a find edges at 16 percent blending mode soft light
then poster edges and dry brush together in luminosity blending mode at 50 percent
Upped the saturation in the red and yellows at about +8

I love all the major stuff about this image, Jackie. The placement in the frame, the treatment - it all works very nicely. If it were mine I'd take the OOF flower in the BG out and I'd also lose the little stuff at the base of the stem - not sure what it is and because it isn't discernable and it tends to detract rather than add to the beauty of the image.
I'll tell you this much: I'm a texture junkie and that BF is KILLER!
Nicely done Jackie,
I like the feel on this one the poster effect is very nice...
Hi Jackie,
I do like the effect applied and it works very well on the butterfly and there is something going on in the stem....so i agree with Jules....but easy fix. Now if I could stay away from that crop tool up top:D......but that is my problem! Well done.
Jackie, I like this alot, the colors and the effect are great! I like the poster effect combined w/ the blending mode-I like to use a soft surface blur sometimes and find it effective as well. I agree w/ Julie about the OOF stem-and I trust Roman's use of the crop tool!! He rules that tool!!
Thanks for the tip Denise, I forgot to mention I did a surface blur on the BG. Why do you use it in general, do you get banding or noise from using the filters???
Jackie, I use the surface blur tool alot-sometimes before or after an effect and sometimes to the BG only, depends on the tool and the image.
Lovely work, Jackie, poster edges is subtle enough to be attractive :)
