David, Really nice work!! Love the sky and those clouds look so natural! I love how you said you sank a few ships,it got a giggle out of me! I also like your re-placement of the 2 smaller ones. Great to have you on-board (couldn't resist)
Really excellent PS work David. Love how the tall ship(?) looks so 3D. How long would it take you to work on an image like this?
Thank you, Denise and Jackie. It's been awhile since I did that one, but I think I worked at least an hour on it. When I get to having fun, I lose track of time. :o
Hey David,
Very nice post processing...well done...I like these old clipper ships...
The ship just pops out at you...very nice work...could you explain, painted in the sky, which really adds to the photo...Paul
Nice after image! It really helps put that larger ship on the left third of the image by removing that other boat.
I do find myself wishing the largest boat was turned just a bit more sideways so I could feel it moving across the image more and less "head on."
Do tell what you did to the sky! Layers/masking?
Thanks Gus, Paul, Julie. I thought I had painted the sky, but when I checked, I saw that I had colored the original sky with a selective color adjustment layer, then added two gradients. Both of the latter were in soft light mode.
