This bird has such a long taile that it isn't easy to find the right composition. I hope that this one wil work fore you;)
It is olso the first time on this site that you'lle see a photograph taken without the 2.0 converter. Hopefuly it isn't to sharp?
Olympus E3, Zuiko ED300 F2.8, 300m focuslength, 1/500sec, F5.6, ISO400 -0.3 stop
This picture is stunning. The feather detail is over the top, as is the BG and the perch. The only thing I would do is take out the white speck on the bird's beak. This is a winner for sure.
Overall love it too. Wish for a better head turn, and too bad the brownish BG doesn't extend to the bottom The cones seem to look oversharpened.
Beautiful image - I like it very much, composition and exposure is excellent, the cones do look sharper than the bird - I must admit it didn't occur to me until Daniel pointed it out.

I agree woth previous comments. I would also try to darken the bottom left corner in orser to accentuate the emphasis on the bird.
Daniel, this happens all the time when I don't use the converter. It seems that I have to blur the picture after resizing it to 800X600 pixels and 150KB instead of sharping it. This is what a ZuikoED300 lens produces……. Therefore I noted that fact (hopefully it isn’t to sharp) below the picture:oQuote:

Wonderful capture Alexander. Marina did mentione the white speck, but to be honest I was so overwhelmed by the beauty in this photo that I would have missed that totally. :) Congrats!
