I like the bird, looking so concentrated on something we can not see and have to think about it...
May be not many people here will like it, because it has not the perfect head angle... :)

You are correct on the head-angle but everything else is well executed. I like that he is leaning forward. I might suggest that a reverse s-curve can be used to lower the contrast on the perch. Go to http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=20434 for info.
Great light, perch and BG. The head looks a bit oversharpened on my monitor and applying curves would make it even better.
I don't mind the head angle because is goes with his concentrating on something. Lovely detail and BG.

This is a lovely bird and seen him so concentrated is great. Agree about a tad over sharpened.

Very nice shot, I like the BG, composition and detail.
The bird is definitely thinking about something right at that moment.
I don't see anything wrong with the pose. The bird is concentrating on something. I don't think
they all have to be looking at the camera.
