Spectacular image, head angle, and fish. Excessive lightening (most likely with Shadow Highlight) is obvious and greatly reduces iamge quality. Try processing it a bit darker and the results might be spectacular. Alwas best to get the EXP right in the field...
Evaulative metering at zero most likely would have been fine with most MIII bodies. What mode were you in? What EXP compensation?
Very cool capture, the open mouth of the fish makes this one for me. Adding to Artie's comments, I would sharpen bird and fish some more.
Actually it wasn't underexposed at all., Artie. I was shooting manual. This is 4 frames after the first post, and I think it looks a little better. It is about a 50% crop which may have degraded the image a little.
Incredible image, Susan! I like the second one even better than the first. The bird and the fish are great but I really love that neck being reflected in the water. Very cool!
Sorry,I made an error in my first post. :p
Plus: I like the water drops on the first image.
Minus: I find myself looking at the eyes and they seem off, I like them better in the second image
Overall, a neat image!
