Denise, first let me say that I love the tones you chose for this image. The violets are so soothing and beautiful! I did find it to be pretty dark (at least on my monitor) so I did a shadow/highlight adjustment on it to bring back a little of the detail in the treeline. I also clipped a bit off the left side so the steeple in the BG could be more on the ROT's position. See what you think...
Hi Denise,
This looks very similar to another shot you had posted. I like how Julie has lightened the trees a little, but love the sepia tones and find it very serene and calming.
I posted a color version awhile back-thought I'd see how it looked desaturated.
I think the tones are very cool yet too dark on the original. I like Julie's crop but would probably dodge some of the trees a tad more.
Hi Lady Denise,
I like the composition. I agree on the good advise given...I actually like the mood here...my suggestion would be to level the water line a tad CW...good show...
Thanks guys for your opinions!
I like the moving of the steeple to the left, anchors the image well.
Tonality wise I like the lighter colors of the sky and water but density wise would like more in the tree line. Maybe an in between the original and re post. Would also crop a little, not pano, but just to alter the ratio.
