I like the pose and eye contact. It would have been even better with the sun behind you. You can edit your post and replace the original image. I fixed the link for you.
I am always amazed at the plumage of these gorgeous owls. Nice grab shot, I agree with Axel re: light direction. A little more on the 'shaded' part of its left side of the face would have been very nice indeed. :)
I like the slightly rising angle of the body mimicing the angle of the trees in the BG. I also like the wing and head positions.
