Fine capture. Nice dramatic moment; the sand beeing kicked up lends more to the sense of force. If I may; perhaps a layer of the BG could be created and the contrast adjusted to bring a bit more delineation between the bird and BG. The FG sand and grass(?) is a plus, IMHO: a bit more canvas to the left would be nice. Again MHO. I like the shot.
Great capture of the pose and good job on wing reconstruction. I also like the sand splash.
