I photographed this Ruddy duck during the last days of 2008 together with Krijn. Perhaps not the extreme low angle as usual...but I really like how the watercolor matches the bird. It was the first time I was able to photograph this species and I was surprised how small they are. I haven't had a look at the male images yet...but if they're any good I'll post one during the next few days.
I like the angle, details and eye contact and might put the bird a bit lower in the frame.

Excellent angle and colours! I wonder how big this is compared to say a Mallard? I wouldn't have a clue, that is why I am asking. I would prefer a little more room in front and wonder if a little CW rotation would be required? :)

Lovel warm colours on the duck and excellent detail, also like the blue and muddy water.
