Lesley I really like this, not easy, considering they are birds that skulk and I like the fact it is walking down hill.
Wonderful alert pose and I like the action you captured in this image. Beautiful BG with great complimentary colors. A vertical might be a nice option for this image too. Thanks for sharing.

Cool bird, nice perch with the snow and all, and very nice walking pose. I would try to increase the midtone contrast in the bird a bit as it looks a bit flat on my monitor, also selectively increasing saturation of the iris would probably give a little more impact. Otherwise beautiful clean shot of this lovely bird.

Another cool bird I've not seen before, Lesley. I too love the pose you took. Agree that slightly lightening the midtones and adding a bit of contrast would improve this image.

I like the light, details and striding pose. I wish for a lower angle and would give it a bit more space. It might also work as vertical crop.
