Pelican Lost
Trying to keep my lucky streak of one going:)I am posting this Pelican Lost. Shot at the Wakohadchee Wetlands where we almost never see this bird species. While doing the Great Blue Herons he flew in.
Taken with a Canon MK-II ISO = 400 at f/7.1 and 1/3200th. of a sec -0.7 Ec. with 100-400 @ 275-MM.

Good find and wing position but the image has some serious flaws. The angle is quite steep, the bird has passed you, it looks soft and there is some color noise as if it was originally underexposed.

Bill on shots like these I would over expose rather than underexpose, probably by 1/3 or by 2/3 stop. There is quite a lot of dark plumage and some pale. The pale won't be too far away from correct exposure for the sky, if you expose to the right without blowing highlights you will see what I mean. Hope this helps
