This is a picture made from three different shots of grasses at the beach. I turned it sideways and blended the layers using different blending modes at various opacities. I tried to get a calming, painterly feel to the image.
Comments appreciated.
Thanks

Jackie, The colors are unique-I think it would work well rotated 90 degrees right also! Good eye . Interesting comp! I LIKE IT VERY MUCH!!!

Jackie, most unusal composition, colors and effect here, though I'm not sure the framing does it justice. Well seen and done!

This is actually one of the rare times I do like the framing - I think because it adds to the color pallette so nicely. Beautiful abstract, Jackie...very unique and creative!
Any idea which blending modes you used to get this final result?

Julie, I seem to have flattened the image but I think it was difference, and exclusion. Can't remember the percentages, just go by feel, til I got the colours I liked.

Hi Jackie,
I really love the soft colours in this - I think that perhaps I would go for a frame that was half the thickness.
A really gorgeous abstract!

Nicki

I love the color scheme, Jackie and the leading lines. Try to give it a quarter turn so the lines are vertical, it may be stronger.

Thanks John, I would too and I think I am going to make a nice large print of it!!! I thought of turning it but to me the horizontal lines were more calming.
