Mexican Sunflower
An image I took this past August, I converted it using a black and white adjustment layer. I tweaked the levels and then played a bit with the exposure adjustments to get the shadows deep while keeping the whites crisp. I cloned out some small pollen spots and sharpened.
This was originally a bright orange flower with a deeply saturated yellow center.

Everthing about this comp works well. The symetry is well executed.
