This fellow was painted this past September in Miami's Metro Zoo. I was trying to photograph his wife that would not come out of her over size wooden bird house; instead the husband came to greet me, he was curious as curious can be...:eek:
Gus, very nice use of the mosaic tiles- I like that you can see the bird perfectly-but the effect is like added texture
I took one look at this and thought "excellent child's jigsaw puzzle." Seriously, if you have small kids/grandkids running around this would be the perfect puzzle!
I really love the way the lighting shows through even with the mosaic effect. Nicely done, Gus!
And to think this was taken through a metal fence, so well done, Gus!

Well he certainly makes an effective puzzle. I'd hate to try to fit those pieces together! What a compelling look in his eye. Guarding his "wife" maybe? LOL
