Hi Lady Denise,
I like the composition of your orange rose as far as placement in frame goes. On a soft blur such as this, I would like to see one specific point of focus, even if the depth of field is very, very shallow. You need a reference point for the eyes to lock on and then softly follow the contours until it fades away. I want you to go ahead any do it again. Put your camera on the tripod, reduce your shutter speed to the point where you start to push the envelope and open up your aperture settings; try using the widest one that your lens permits. Experiment with the different combinations and if you have to, adjust the exposure compensation settings to acquire the look and feel that you want. Remember, its all about looks, feel and moods...:)
Gus, Thankyou for your time and patience!
Really nice Denise I like the feel Can only further suggest more room around the flower? Beautiful !!
I agree with Al...more room would be nice. I'd also suggest using the blur tool to soften the edge around the top of the flower where it intersects with the BG. Either that or do a layer with Gaussian blur and then reduce it everywhere with a mask leaving just the edges softened.
I think you're doing a wonderful job with these, Denise!
