I like this, Denise. It's got a nice, soft feel but you still totally know what it is you're looking at. The colors all blend together in the same pallette nicely and I really love the leaf patterned shadows on the tree trunks. To me, those make the image.
Interesting image, Denise.
Since I always see the negative (not in a bad sense but as in a negative film) I see the light part instead of the shadows :(
I love the leaves surrounding the trunk.
Lady Denise,
I like the composition and concept that was conveyed here. My personal taste; I would tone down the whites just a tad to blend in better with the rest of the tones and hues...
As the lower part of the image works very well for me and the rest does not, I think that using a longer lens or getting closer as in the cropped repost might have been much better.
ps: And myabe a teench more off the top to get the shadow leaf more into the corner....
Artie, I love it- This is what I had in mind for this photo-when I took this shot I realized I wanted to accent the shadows I just couldn't figure out how- I actually tried so many different crops but non seemed to work-Thankyou I love the crop it's perfect!!
Oh, now that is sweet!
I am glad that you liked it. When we do image critiques on IPTs we play a game like this: OK boys and girls, what part do you like best? What part do you not like? Once those questions are answered, coming up with a great image, making order out of chaos is easy. Best to do it in the field to prevent having to make such a big crop. And no, not perfect. Still needs a teench more off the top.
Artie, I did play that game -still couldn't come up w/ that crop! Oh well, at least I'm learning-that's what I like about this site-you learn from each other by giving your point of view and listening to others. I think if I take more off top I'll lose that feeling of more going on up there and I like that
Wild crop Artie Had not consider but do like it a lot Going horizontal with the obvious vertical tree looks cool !!!
