I like it Michael, This has a spooky feel to it. Just waiting for the Creature of The Black Lagoon to come out of that black water...:D...well done...
Okay, first off, when I saw your name beneath the image I got all excited that it was another great IR coming and I got that right!
Here's what's really funny, though...
Living in the midwest, I thought the entire front area that is so dark was a giant cloud overhead. It didn't even dawn on me that it was WATER until I read Gus's comment. We often have storm fronts pass through that temporarily blacken everything overhead and this reminded me of that!
As for the image overall, one of my favorite things to do with a b&w or IR image is to see how many levels of black, white and gray are in them and this one is really up there. It has great tonal depth and my favorite part is the boats (?) that are stacked up at the shore line...there must be four different tones right there! Only thing I can see that would make this better would be to take the two white specs out of the black water - I'd leave the ones on the sand but remove the two from the black area so it stands as a solid tone.
Lovely image...even with the creature of the black lagoon living there!
Michael, Very nice - I like the black sky, it looks so cool, also love palm trees in IR .
