This was a rare find for me, fantails at the best of times can be difficult to capture as they are always moving, let alone finding three all lined up and snuggling together waiting for the mother to return with food. I am not entirely happy with the image, the BG is not the best, there was a lot of leaves,twigs etc in there general location as they were within a bush when this was shot. I managed to get several frames off and this was one of my favs.

This is great, Jason. I really like the straight ahead look of the meat in the sandwich. I agree with you about the BG. Have tried a version desaturating and darkening the greens and yellows in the BG and burning in the corners. Added some selective sharpening to the centre bird as he is not quite as sharp as his sibs. From a technical view I would probably have used ISO 800 and bought a bit more DOF by closing down 1 stop. Things were obviously a bit dark with the 1/100.
