Feeling under the weather today.......but figured since I haven't been here a while......I'd give
Denise and the rest of you.......a shot at critiquing me.......since I'm always so gentle:D.
Here's another from my Yellowstone/Teton trip........quite the accident.....camera moved in slighly different direction then what was my original intentionand what I liked about it........it kept the black areas of the aspen somewhat visible.......but let me know your thoughts.
Specs........ISO 100 at f22 for 5 seconds and the 100-400mm lens at 350mm all on the Mark 3 body, mounted on tripod with studioball head slighly loose on all controls.

Roman ,I like this alot- on the ML of canvas there is a white blotch of aspens that appear to be cloned in. I know they were not but they throw this off alittle in MHHHO. really nice colors and a perfect amount of blur. I think it's a wall hanger. I wish it were my shot.

Roman,
Sorry you're not feeling well; hope that's very brief.
I like this, too. I usually see this sort of image with straight vertical camera movement, but the diagonal really works here - gives it a sense of movement - a happy accident. I agree with Denise about that one BG trunk; must have been in a spot of light; I think just darkening it to visually push it into the BG would suffice. For my own taste, I'd brighten the overall image and increase the contrast to make the FG trunks and foliage pop more.

HI Roman,
I adore this image! ... An accident? wow.. well, I love the diagonal upwards movement. .. and the colors, the blacks of the bark that MOVE ... Great job at giving the trunks room at the bottom.. I would hang this on my wall. I like the brighter version .. wonderful!

Second version does it for me- just gorgeous, if I may say so. ;). I'm really impressed when this sort of stuff can be done in-camera.
