Mute Swan

This is a slight crop. Should I go further and remove the reeds up top?

Yes, I would crop further...but not from the top! I love the reeds up there - I would crop some off the bottom like I have done here. I feel it strenghtens the composition as there was too much wasted space below. What I love most about your image is the power that is showing off nicely from this swan. The wings skimming the water are very cool :-)

Thanks Daniel and Tony. I knew there was something 'not right' with the composition but just couldn't see it. A 'wood for the trees' situation I think. You are spot on with your comments.

I agree with Danny's repost. The water droplets gives a nice feel.
