I took this shot hanging over a bridge I liked how the reflection showed the merging tree heads. I did a solarized effect then toned it down by hand-painting parts of it. I also added a sepia photo filter. I liked the interesting colors in the water

Denise: You are really trying lots of new things. Good for you! I agree with you about the colors in this one, but am not too sold on the composition. It might be the LL tree leaving the frame.
Joanna, I thought about that branch-but in the larger version of this print there is so much deatail, every little leaf re-flected, it somehow draws me in. I think I,m going to hang this one . I'm not sure if it's the colors or detail but I love it. I wish you could see a bigger view on this I know you would see what I see.
Denise and Joanna, I initially had the same feeling about the image but I put it in PS and did a vertical flip on it and now I totally love it. The tree that we found distracting upside down looks fabulous rightside up!
I think because you saw the original reflection you see the print differently than Joanna and I but either way its some very creative, very beautiful work. Nicely done!
Denise,
I tried flipping it too and it became totally different. Very powerful indeed.
Julie, that's what it needed . I flipped the print on my wall- and wow what a difference.
How about posting the flipped version? :) :)
Here's the flip side...
I keep thinking the image would be stronger without the color and denser tree? When you look and make up your mind about a certain look is difficult switching gears !!!! Love your creative mind !!!
Julie, I changed my mind . This morning I turned it around. Thanks for your tips.
