Hi, have been scarce from avian forum a bunch, but just realized I was at post #1000.
Photographed this egret this morning and processed for old world look.
Used Alien Skin Snap Art and tons of little tweaks.....may be too much!!
Original was a high ISO shot just after sunrise.

Thank you for looking and opportunity to share a bit of an experiment
Dave, congratulations and thanks for choosing OOB for your milestone :)
Gorgeous light and pose and great filters, print it in canvas paper and hang it on your wall!

The bird has arrived, just like you have on your 1,000th. Congratulations. I like the old world look. Since I hang out here alot, I am glad you chose OOTB to be your 1,000th.

Dave, I think you hit your mark here with your 1,000 post! This is really gorgeous - you can tell it had great aesthetics to start with and you certainly added more in your creative pursuit. This one is definitely a home run!

Dave,
Thanks for showing us the "before canvas" version. Looks really great, and for my taste canvas really is the right print medium. I'm with Fabs - print it big!

Nice arty feel to this image. Lovely colours. I believe there is still some more potential to exploit. I am a photoshop illiterate. However, I think you can give different effects to the bird and the tree. How about, the bird bit sharper than it is now and the tree as it is?
