The eye contact is really nice Loukie! The perch and BG work well also. I just wish the lighting were a little more even, and not casting shadows on the bird.

Lovely. I agree with Doug. However, due to the lighting ie. left half of the head is dark and the right eye is lighted; automatically it catches our attention. Nice.

Very nice image, Loukie. Lovely, perch, BG and feather textures. Doug's comment re the shadows is the only issue I can see. Fill flash may have been an option.

Fill in flash would have helped, shooting at 1000mm and a distance of about 25+ meters I doubt it.

Using a Better Beamer you can often throw a bit of flash far enough to help reduce shadows, Loukie
