I took this shot at Allaire State Park- I liked the strong colors orig. had, but I started lightening it and really liked the soft colors as well. I painted on some of the photo to add color where I felt needed.Feedback always welcomed!

Denise: this is my favorite of your high key so far. I, too, like the rich colors in the reflection. I would probably clone out the black things in the LR corner.
Very nice! I agree about cloning out the small black area and maybe shaving just a bit off the bottom as it doesn't add much to the composition. Nicely done overall, though. It's fun to sit and look at it!
Joanna, Good eye ! I will clone that spot out . Julie I will try taking off some of bottom and see how it looks. Thankyou both for taking the time to comment.
This is lovely- colors are very pleasing as is the overall effect. I think there's a bit too much on the bottom for my taste- it takes my attention away from the beautiful ripple effect. Just a little of it, IMHO, would suggest the cluster of leaves. Very nice work.!
Love the patterns in the water but the white foreground makes no sense to me... For the repost I did a PANO crop, a bit of Patch Tool work, and then SAT increase plus darker... What say ye all?
Artie, I think I like just something on the bottom to anchor the trees. I agree that I put too much in forground, but I would like to see some there
I normally love a thin strip of anything at the tops and bottoms of images, but here the foreground is over-exposed and pretty much detail-less, that is why I cropped it all out so I guess that we will need to agree to disagree on this.
Yes it is over-exposed .That was the effect. The value is in the texture. You are right there is too much there and I will crop off from bottom. It's always nice to hear from you and I feel privileged to have you critique my work. So thankyou for taking the time!
I agree with the cropping of the lower part. When I first looked at the original, I wondered about that. It is so different in color, contrast...seemed to take away from the overall effect. Thanks to everyone for input on this and other photos that I can learn from, too!
