Burst-mode Questions

I guess this applies to any wildlife photography, or even sports shooting, but do any of you use JPEG burst mode if you have a choice to use RAW instead? I'm trying to decide if this is a make-or-break issue for me with my current equipment (it won't do burst-mode in RAW). What level of quality is given up w/ the JPEG bursts, and what is the likelihood that the best shot might be missed by using RAW? FYI, I'm using the Panasonic FZ50 which saves both RAW and JPEG and takes a minimum of 3.5 seconds to do so in RAW mode...

My bodies are ALWAYS set at High-speed continuous which is 6.5 frames per second and I shoot nothing else but RAW. It's cheap :D

It may be time for some sort of upgrade.

Lesson one - shoot RAW. More information allows for more adjustment.

Lesson two - buy the best you can afford - stretch if you have to. Spend money on glass.

Lesson three - Shoot primes when possible.
