I was shooting Flamingos at Sewri , Mumbai (http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=18724 )
At Low tide one can get down , off the jetty and into the bog. You can go a few meters ahead thru the mud and hop on to an old large metal plate left over from some cut up barge. You couldn't go out more cause one would sink into the mud waist deep at the minimum. (Old barges are repaired at this jetty). What some of the crab catching locals do, is to skate a large wooden/ plastic board on their fours and forage crabs.
As the tide ebbed, the flamingos moved further and further away. Also, the sun came up and it was blistering hot. Thats when I decided to look for other opportunities while at that same spot. Standing in that muck, I noticed behind me, this old pot sticking out of the mud and thought it made an interesting shot.
This is an old scan. At that time, I didn't know "D" of Digital or the "P" of Post processing . Just followed the Coolscan 4000 manual and tweaked the TIFF in PS and I used to think I know everything... But now, I know, and appreciate, just how much I don't know of these things !
Comments appreciated.
Best Regards

Oops just realised I uploaded a larger than allowed image size. I don't see an edit button now that I have already submitted. Any way I can edit my post ?

Nicely done, Krishnan! It certainly has some great textural interest to it!

You did very nice, the 3D effect is terrific and the monotone very becoming to the image :)
Looking forward to more!
