A picture that I made today in the Zoo at Frankfurt / Germany.
Made a square crop to exclude everything that's not pink...
Mark III / Canon 100 - 400 (Don't like to be the main attraction in the Zoo, when I use my 500 mm lens :o)
1/400 sec / f 9.0 / ISO 250
- 2/3 Exp. Corr.

I love your composition Rosl. I would like to maybe see a boost in contrast to help define the different colors/tones but, overall, nice image!

I like this - from the thumbnail, it looks like this could be a wood carving.
The vertical bird in the background actually makes the photo by orienting us to the position of the foreground bird. He looks like he was very curious about you. I guess I'd play with contrast to see some variations, but I like it as posted.

This is charming and amusing! Pink it is! I wish the rest of "upside down's" bill was showing....in a perfect world. :D
This is pastel like- I wonder what it would lok like with a pastel filter?
Love the eye contact.

Very creative Rosl, I'd also crop from the bottom.

I think it's all been said, but I had to chime in and say - that's a real eye catcher. Nice image Rosi. Hey, buy a camo cover for that 500, you know it's sharper.:)

I love this as presented. The lines and curves are superb, and the selective focus is spot on. The head agle of the preening bird is perfect. If you twisted my arm I would say that you could have used another 1/8 inch on the top to give the BKGR bird a bit more above the lores. All in all superb, and a great example of what can be accomplished in a zoo. Congrats!
