The great tit is photographed almost from minimum foc.dist. of 5 meters. This is why the tail is a bit out of focus.
Post process: (from JPEG); some clone outs; levels; S/H to lighten the black neck and the head with the eye field, too; Unsharp mask with about 400/0.2/2 levels (I am not that shure of the exact values); a slight Unsharp mask in a diff. layer of the parallel feathers of the wing, which hardly bear the bigger total value of the UM. Finally a 10% saturation. That’s all :)

Beautiful BG, it looks like a painting, if you have more room on the original image I'd think about adding some space behind and on top of the bird.

I like the pose and light and agree with Mike regarding more space. In the lower left the BG looks as if there are clone marks.

Gorgeous light, exposure, details and colors. The pose is also very pleasing. You have a winner here!

Great image. I disagree about adding the space because centering the subject would weaken this strong composition. I would lighten the blacks a tiny bit though.

Axel, I've probably deal well with the clone marks since they are ot the right bellow the tale only :) - there was a blind white spot there - probably a piece of garbage left by someone. The BG is natural, no painted plate used here. Thanks.
