Another capture that was taken in the Pantanal Brazil. There are many raptors to be seen in this part of the world and many different species that we do not see here.

This is a beautifull image of a falcon I am unfamiliar with. Good dof, nice perch and bg. I do wish the bird had giveen you a slightly better head angle, thought it is ok as presented. I might brighten the midtones a llittle and give it a S/H adjustment to bring out more detail and lessen the shadows in both the plumage and the perch, I am extremely jealous of this image and wish it were mine! Your Pantanal trip sure yeilded some wonderful birds and beautiful images!
Hi Judy,
Excellent capture, image and exposure. Bird is placed just right in frame. You have good details and the color rendition is in check...I like it as is...good show...
Terrific species that I observed a lot in Ecuador, some years ago while I was studying the nightjar´s behavior. Typical pose of this species on a branch high on the trees. BTW, I like the simple composition a lot Judy
Wow, sharp image with lovely details. Personally, I liked the original post - looks fine on my monitor.
Cool bird! I prefer the original.
that is one cool looking raptor!! looks like a hybrid of several of ours. looks fantastic to me! thanks for sharing!!
VERY nice one! I think as it is is terrific! BG, light, exposure, details and compo are great. Congratulations!!
wonderful image Judy, this bird looks so much like our Kestral., I like Lindas edit a lot.
Many thanks Linda for the repost and for taking the time to do it. It is always appreciated. Nice work !!!!
Such a gorgeous shot Judylynn excellent details and pose. Well Done!
Judy Lynn, fantastic shot of a very tough bird. We see them here in Costa Rica, but you'd have to be digiscoping to get an image of one. I think Linda's repost was a nice improvement of an already fine image.
Cheers,
Greg Basco
Wonderful capture. I would love to see one of these in person. He looks like a pretty old bird but still beautiful.
