I exposed for the black feathers here, which resulted in overexposure for the BG (but not blown out). This looks so bad on your camera display that you suspect it will go to the bin, but is easily fixed in ACR plus this way you achieve most detail in the blacks.

This is a beauty Vincent. I like the sunburst pattern of the clump of grass in the BG and also the blue strip of water. The sky in the reflection is nice too.

Excellent, Vincent. The starburst pattern works beautifully. I would just clone out some of the speck on the water

Stunning...the use of the light and the background, and that stip of sky in the water reflection, make this one a killer. I would be tempted to clean up the spots in the water too, but that's pretty minor.

Oh man, I love this one. We have a lot of glossies around here but I have no decent image of this guys :-(
The BG is nice, sure I would prefer a more OOF BG but this one is good. I suggest to do some cloning work on the stuff right between the bill and the reflection of the bill, at the right area of the frame.
Very nice angle and light.

Hi Vincent. Great opportunity well executed, I agree 100% with the approach you followed here as far as exposure is concerned.

Vincent, I like this one. That grass or what ever in the background is nice...its reflection nicely frames the reflection of the ibis. Do you have any more room at the top or is it a full frame one? I like the colour as well. Overall, its a nice image.

A stunning image, I wouldn't change a thing. Love the range of tonalities and colors in the feathers, and the BKGR puts it over the top. Congrats!

Very different and a striking image. Great exposure control. I agree with previous comments that the small floaties should be removed. I feed cracked corn to the deer and ducks that visit my yard, but a flock of glossies comes every morning and evening to dine. I didn't know that they liked grain . I love the patterns on their faces and the beauty of their plumage. Very nice capture!

Superb capture Vincent, the radiating background really adds to a fine image of the bird.
