Shot this Kingfisher from a hide-out.
Maybe some of you would like to see a bit more eye-contact, personally I really like this pose, because it is looking sleeky(?) down to its prey.

I really like this also. Eye contact is an element but certainly not critical in all cases. Beautiful capture of an elusive subject.
Beautiful image and composition . Love the BG too and the detail and color is excellent. I like it as presented but think it could work well as a vertical also. Thanks for sharing.
Love it, as presented I like the compo very much, BG is outstanding and pose is great to, a very little head turn woud've been great, but still love it, here a repost with a little more saturation (hope you don't mind my intrusion), I think it brings it up a bit. Congratulations on a terrific shot.
Nice pose, details, perch and BG. It's a bit tight in the frame for my taste and as for the saturation, maybe something between the original and repost.
wonderful shot, I like the original, as it looks most natural., awesome pose, and incredible details.
would also like to see something between the two posts! love the compo and detail in the bird! kf's are awesome!!
Beautiful compo and I'm OK with the bird concentrating on his prey. Another vote for something in btween the original and the repost.
Lovely image and very nice composition. Sharp detail anId a beautiful BG. like the bird's pose a lot and do not mind the head angle at all. One more vote for saturation between the original and the repost.
Hi Lesley,
Great close up of one of my favourite subjects!
I do think Ramon's adjustments are a huge improvement.
Well done!
