Mallard in flight
While I wasn't in California to photograph Mallards, I couldn't pass up this opportunity. I don't get to use the 300 f/2.8 much (I was actually borrowing it from my girlfriend), but it's one nice lens!

Yes, indeed. an eclipse drake. Take it from a duck hunter who can see the yellow bill, green head and brown breast emerging.
