I am about to buy my first calibrator, is there anything I should know about these things before I buy one.
I was looking at the spyder 3 pro, is that a good one?
Any help would be grateful,
Thanks,
Michael Bertelsen

I haven't used the Spyder. Most people I know use XRite Eye-One which works really well.
I suggest ColorEyes Display Pro DTP-94 Bundle
http://www.integrated-color.com/Merc...ay+Calibration
I HAVE USED IT FOR YEARS AND THE NEW PRO SOFTWARE IS OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!
The DTP-94 is still the best, consistently out-performing all other colorimeters on the market today.
Best,
Chas
Thanks guys,
I looked at the Xrite, is that the $160.00 unit.
The DTP-94 is a little pricey:eek:
Thanks,
Michael
If I remember correctly, XRite is about $250.
I use the Spyder 3 and am pleased with the results.
Both the Spyder and the Eye One will do the job. I like the Eye One better since it can be put anywhere on the screen rather then just in the center (like the Spyder) which keeps it away from where the menu for the monitor will come up.
