Is there a standardized set of Exif data, in both content and format, recommended for accompanying posted images?
And is there a way of adding this automatically, rather than painfully typing it out each time?

It would be good to provide all information that helps commenting, standard would be camera body, lens, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, exposure compensation, fill flash and anything else you find important to mention. I think there are some programs you could use, personally I type it.
