I really like the head on look. The whites look a little hot and the image also needs a CW rotation before your Shoveler slides off the screen! :D
Yes to all of Jody's suggestions. Plus, with images of birds coming right at you (in horizontal format), and, with the nice wake, it would have been a nice option here to break the "rules" and place the bird in the dead center.

Neat capture of the shoveller Michael and I like the head on angle. The CW rotation would strengthen this image and I find there is a lot of empty space to the right. IMO a vertical crop with less space on the right.

Good advise given, Mike. Knowing that it was created in Viera, I will not suggest a lower angle. Not possible ;)
