Gannet

At the island of Helgoland Germany there are a lot of gannets with young. Here they are waching the sunset.

This is almost human like in the emotional impact of the parent and young. I like it a lot. Looking forward, sharp!

Wonderful light, sharpness, COMP, and BKGR. A perfect head angle with the chick, a little less so with the adult.

This is a great shot. For me, one of the best I have seen.

Very nice, lovely light and pose on both birds.

Beautiful portrait of one of my favourite birds Alexander. The juxtaposition of the adult and chick make it, and you almost have the same eye contact in both. The light is wonderful but looks a lot cooler than I would expect from a sunset. I would remove the noise in the blue BG and the small light spot at 2 o'clock from the tip of the adult's bill (sensor dust?).
