Inspired by Paul Lagasi

Paul posted a thread in which he illustrated a photo he had 'saved' by cloning out a branch, and reconstructing part of his subject.

He made the point that sometimes, when you have a rare shot that is spoiled by an artifact, it's possible to rescue it.

So, I tried my hand at rescuing this shot of an octopus. I love the colors and the curlicues of his tentacles, but I didn't like the bright red eye of the fish coming into the frame. I had tried cropping really close, but he just looked like he was bumping up against the side. How'd I do?

Good job! You could even go one step further and take away the remaining shadow using the space above it but this is definitely an improvement!

Oh yes! I did such a good job of recreating a shadow for a fish I was removing. That made sense, didn't it? Good point.
